The 3 most common areas addressed with wrinkle prevention are the forehead, between the eyes (aka “11 lines”), and the outer eyes (aka “crows feet”). At CONTŌR, we also utilize neuromodulators like botox for treatments in other parts of the face like a lip flip, reducing a “gummy smile,” reducing bunny lines on the nose, and treating frown lines.
There is no downtime associated with wrinkle prevention at CONTŌR. The injection sites may be red or swollen for a short period, but this usually subsides within an hour. Your daily routine can be resumed immediately. Bruising is a possibility with any injectable treatment. The risk of bruising may increase if you drink alcohol or consume any blood thinners such as Advil or aspirin prior to the procedure.
Effects typically begin to appear within five days and are strongest around 2 weeks. Results last an average of 3 months.

To minimize the risk of bruising or swelling, please avoid alcohol, aspirin, or NSAIDs (Advil, Aleve, Motrin) 24 hours before and after treatment.
When taken two or more days before treatment, Arnica and Bromelain can reduce bruising. Always consult your primary care physician before taking any new medications.
Redness and/or swelling are common side effects of any injection, but they usually disappear within an hour or two. A light amount of makeup can be applied the same day.
Avoid the following:
Taking aspirin and NSAIDs (Advil, Aleve, Motrin), as they can increase your chance of bruising.
Exercise for 24 hours.
Saunas for 72 hours.
Facial massage or massage tables for 7 days after treatment.
Gua-sha or ice rollers for 24 hours after treatment.
A mild headache after the treatment is normal and can be treated with tylenol.

Facial Balancing generally requires little to no downtime. Most guests resume normal activities, including work, right after their session. Some swelling or mild bruising may occur, depending on the areas treated; however, these effects are typically short-lived and can be covered with light makeup.
You’ll notice an immediate improvement in contour and symmetry after treatment. Some swelling may temporarily mask the final result, but this usually subsides within a few days. The most refined outcome is typically visible around 1–2 weeks post-treatment.
Results typically last 9 to 18 months, depending on your metabolism and the products used. Most clients return once a year for a maintenance treatment, which is ideal for preserving your natural, balanced results.
We use a prescription-strength topical numbing agent to maximize comfort. While you may feel slight pressure or a pinching sensation during injections, most clients report minimal discomfort. Mild tenderness can occur for a few days after, but it improves quickly. Please get in touch with us immediately if you experience sharp pain or unusual skin discoloration.

Most injectables, including Facial Balancing, are not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Some treatments, such as modified Aquagold facials, can be adjusted to be pregnancy-safe with the approval of an OB/GYN. We recommend waiting until after the postpartum period for filler-based balancing.
Cancellations or no-shows that occur with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $150 fee out of respect for our providers’ time.
