Wrinkle prevention at CONTŌR is your classic Botox treatment with a modern twist. We use FDA approved neuromodulators (including Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Jeuveau®, and Daxxify®) to soften repetitive muscle movement that causes expression lines. By relaxing targeted facial muscles, these treatments help prevent wrinkles from deepening over time while maintaining natural facial expression. Our approach prioritizes balance, longevity, and skin health; not overcorrection.

The 3 most common areas addressed with wrinkle prevention are the forehead, between the brows (aka “11 lines”), and the outer eyes (aka “crows feet”).

At CONTŌR, we also utilize neuromodulators like Botox for treatment of other areas of the face such as a lip flip, reducing a “gummy smile,” bunny lines on the nose, neck bands (aka nefertiti lift) and treating the chin or downturned mouth. Each treatment plan is customized based on your facial anatomy and long term aesthetic goals.

The injection sites may be red or swollen for a short period, but this usually subsides within an hour. Your daily routine can be resumed immediately. Bruising is a possibility with any injectable treatment. The risk of bruising may increase if you drink alcohol or consume any blood thinners such as Advil or aspirin prior to the procedure.

You may begin to notice results within 3–5 days*, with full effects visible by 10–14 days. Results typically last 3–4 months, though longevity varies depending on muscle strength, metabolism, and treatment history. Consistent maintenance treatments can help train muscles to relax over time, often extending results.

At CONTŌR, our guests report little to no pain with wrinkle prevention. We utilize multiple strategies to make you as comfortable as possible, including using ultra fine needles.

There is no “right” age to start Botox. Depending on various factors including genetics, this can be different for everyone. We commonly see people for preventative Botox anywhere from their early 20s to mid 30s. That being said, it’s never too late! During your initial CONTŌR consultation, our providers collaborate with you to form a completely personalized treatment plan based on your current condition and aesthetic goals. At CONTŌR, we evaluate skin quality, muscle movement, and facial dynamics to determine if and when treatment makes sense for you.

We completely understand. Thats why, at CONTŌR we prioritize long term outcomes over drastic short term results. We know prevention is always more effective than correction and the best results are achieved through micro-enhancements over time. When performed correctly, Botox should leave you looking rested, smooth, and natural; not frozen.

Please note: Individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not suitable candidates for this treatment.

To minimize the risk of bruising or swelling, please avoid alcohol, aspirin, or NSAIDs (Advil, Aleve, Motrin) 24 hours before and after treatment.

When taken two or more days before treatment, Arnica and Bromelain can reduce bruising. Always consult your primary care physician before taking any new medications.

Redness and/or swelling are common side effects of any injection, but they usually disappear within an hour or two. A light amount of makeup can be applied the same day.

Following these guidelines helps ensure optimal results.

Avoid the following:

• Taking aspirin and NSAIDs (Advil, Aleve, Motrin) for 24 hours, as they can increase your chance of bruising.
• Strenuous exercise until the following day
• Saunas for for 7 days after treatment.
• Facial massage/manipulation or massage tables for 7 days after treatment.
• Gua-sha or jade rollers for 7 days after treatment.

A mild headache after the treatment is normal and can be treated with tylenol.

Effects typically begin to appear within five days and are strongest around 2 weeks. Results last an average of 3 months. To maintain your results, we recommend treatment every 3-4 months.

Botox® and other FDA-approved neuromodulators have been extensively studied and have a long-standing history of use in both medical and aesthetic treatments. When performed by licensed medical professionals, they are considered safe for appropriate candidates. At CONTŌR, we only hire medical practitioners such as PA’s and NP’s to perform treatments. Temporary side effects may include mild redness, swelling, bruising, or headache.

While Botox does not permanently stop aging, consistent wrinkle prevention treatments can significantly slow the development of deep expression lines, helping maintain smoother skin long term. At CONTŌR, we favor a balanced approach, pairing neuromodulators with collagen-stimulating skin treatments to address wrinkles both at the muscular level and within the skin itself. Unfortunately, most of our treatments are NOT suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. After your pregnancy, our team would love to help you as soon as you’re ready.
