Moxi Resurfacing Laser

Moxi is a gentle, non-ablative laser treatment designed to rejuvenate your skin, shrink the appearance of pores, treat fine lines and wrinkles and even out complexion. It works by delivering controlled laser energy to the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen production and promoting cell renewal. This helps improve tone, texture, and overall radiance, making it a great option for maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin.

Moxi is known for its moderate downtime. You may experience mild redness for 1-2 days and a sandpaper-like texture for 7-10 days as your skin heals and renews. Most people return to regular activities right away, and makeup can usually be worn the next day. Some do experience swelling on day 2 after the procedure but this is typically rare.

Moxi treatments are generally well tolerated, and a strong topical anesthetic cream is applied in the office beforehand to ensure comfort. Most describe the treatment as a warm, prickling sensation during the procedure. Afterward, your skin may feel slightly warm or sensitive for a few hours.

Most people achieve optimal results with 3-4 Moxi sessions spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. However, the number of treatments depends on your skin type, goals, and desired results. Many clients choose to schedule maintenance treatments throughout the year to keep their skin glowing and refreshed.

You’ll begin to notice smoother, more even skin within a few days as your skin heals and renews. Full results develop gradually over the following few weeks, with continued improvement after each session as collagen production increases.

To ensure the best results and a smooth treatment experience, please review the following pre-treatment guidelines:

Before your appointment:

• Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications or supplements (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E) unless prescribed by your physician.
• Discontinue retinol, tretinoin, or exfoliating acids for at least 7 days prior to your appointment.
• Avoid sunburn and direct sun exposure for at least 7 days leading up to your treatment — use sunscreen daily and skip self-tanners or tanning beds.
• Do not wax or use exfoliating products on the face for at least 7 days before your appointment.
• Try to arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, or other skincare products.
  
  

Following these steps will help minimize risk of complications and ensure you get the most out of your MOXI treatment.

• Cleanse twice daily with lukewarm water and gentle cleanser.
• Moisturize often; Dryness and tightness are expected!
• Sun protection is essential, use a physical SPF 50+ daily.
• Avoid: excessive heat exposure such as heated workouts, saunas, steam room for 7 days.
• Avoid exfoliants, retinol, or acids for 7 days
• You may resume exercise the next day following your treatment
• Do not pick or scrub flaking areas allow natural shedding to occur

Unfortunately, most of our treatments are NOT suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. After your pregnancy, our postpartum team would love to help you as soon as you’re ready.
